Success story

As a leading multinational operator in North Europe and the Baltic region, TeliaSonera serves 182 million mobile subscribers across 18 countries.
In 2008, TeliaSonera’s data traffic jumped 492% from a year earlier and generated annual revenue growth of over 60%.

To meet the increasing demand for mobile broadband services, TeliaSonera signed the world’s first commercial LTE contract with Huawei in January 2009 to construct an LTE network in Oslo, the capital of Norway. On December 14, 2009, this LTE network was commercially launched, offered maximum speeds of up to 100 Mb/s and are approximately 10 times faster than existing 3G networks.

Benefiting from its current solid foundation, TeliaSonera is well-placed to embrace a brighter future.
