At present our products consume about 30% less energy than traditional ones.
The distribution of energy consumption required by networks may vary slightly among operators, but the overall situation is basically the same. The general rule in the industry is that the ratio of the equipment rooms of the core network to the equipment rooms of the access network in power consumption can be 3:7 for mobile operators and 4:6 for the fix operators.
We provide end-to-end green solutions, including Green Sites, Convergence Core, Green Transmission, and Green Supply Chain.
Green Sites
Huawei's "PA Gain Enhancement"technology reduces the number of sites we would need and thereby saves energy; While the "distributed architecture”, "Intelligent Power Allocation"across the system saving energy efficiently on the device level. Even the new integrated shelter saves energy and reduces emission.

Green Central Office
On the core network side, Huawei's innovative ALL-IP, MSC Pool and ngHLR architectures simplify the network and reduce the number of equipments as well as the footprint thus greatly reducing the energy consumption.
The traditional work station is replaced by an advanced DC ATAE server. The CPU speed is adjusted according to the traffic resulting in further savings being realized.

On the transmission side, 75% transmission efficiency can be realized from there ASON network architecture, and a 30% energy saving can be achieved by using the "bypass"function; The energy efficiency is achieved as a result of higher integration levels than that which is achievable with traditional equipment.

Green Supply Chain
On the supply chain side, we strictly complies with the RoHS, and WEEE requirements and already implements the SA 8000 standard.
